Russell C. Ford has recently joined the firm as Counsel to the Immigration & Global Migration Group and Higher Education Group in Verrill Dana’s Boston office.
Mr. Ford’s practice encompasses all facets of immigration and global migration, including full-scale migration policy and strategic development, planning and implementation. He represents large, mid-scale and small multinational corporations, universities and non-profits in the recruitment, maintenance and movement of international personnel. Mr. Ford advises his higher education clients on all traditional employment and immigration matters, as well as matters specific to institutions of higher learning, including student affairs, the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) and Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS).
Mr. Ford has authored numerous articles on immigration law. He is a frequent presenter, having lectured at the national conferences of the National Association of College and University Attorneys (NACUA), Institute for Higher Education and the Law and the Institute for Continuing Legal Education (ICLE).
Mr. Ford holds a Bachelors Degree from Stonehill College and a Masters Degree in Education from Boston University. He is a graduate of the Tulane University School of Law.
